Clomiphene citrate 50 mg/tab
100 Tablets For oral use
Therapeutic Class: Selective estrogen receptor modulators
Each tablet of CLOTREX contains:
Clomiphene is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM), used mainly in female infertility due to anovulation (e.g. due to polycystic ovary syndrome).
Clomiphene is an orally administered, nonsteroidal, ovulatory stimulant designated chemically as 2-[p-(2-chloro-1,2- diphenylvinyl) phe noxy] triethylamine citrate (1:1).
Clomiphene is indicated for the treatment of ovulatory dysfunction in women desiring pregnancy. Impediments to achieving pregnancy must be excluded or adequately treated before beginning Clomiphene therapy. Clomiphene is commonly used by male anabolic steroid users to bind the estrogen receptors in their bodies, thereby blocking the effects of estrogen, i.e., gynecomastia. It also restores the body’s natural production of testosterone. It is commonly used as a “recovery drug” and taken toward the end of a steroid cycle. Some users report that taking Clomiphene increases the amount of fluid produced during ejaculation.
This medication should not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have these conditions: pregnancy, liver disease, history of liver dysfunction, pituitary failure, endometrical carcinoma or ovarian cysts.

Infrequent adverse effects include: abnormal uterine bleeding, nausea, and/or vomiting. Rare adverse effects include: reversible alopecia and/or ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Discuss the risks and benefi ts of therapy with your doctor.
